It was such a pleasure to photograph Chaydon & Alysha’s wedding at Predator Ridge in Vernon on October 31st. The day began with pouring rain, but spirits were not damped during the elegant indoor ceremony. When we went out to do photos afterward, the low lying clouds created a mystical look perfectly suited to the date. Everyone looked enchanting within the ethereal setting. The sun began to peak out as we proceeded to Gatsky Orchards in Oyama to take photos in the beautiful fall foliage and then to the beach for some shots by the water.

In keeping with Halloween, the reception was a masquerade. All guests were given exquisite masks to wear and some even dressed up. While some identities may have been a mystery that evening, the love of the bridal couple was clear for all to see. Here are some of the photos from their special day.

While you may be spending time planning and getting ready for your proposal, your soon-to-be fiancee likely has no idea what’s coming.    Proposals are typically a private affair. Have your intimate moment with just the two of you, and then celebrate afterward with loved ones. You can still include family and friends by showing photos of the engagement. It’s a fun and meaningful way to share this special event with those people close to you. Also, it adds to the celebration of your relationship and this new chapter of your life together as a couple.

3. For the Future
   A proposal is a huge milestone in any relationship and thus one that deserves to be immortalized.  With beautiful photos of the proposal, you will have something to look back on through the years as your relationship continues to grow and change. I had my sister Anna up visiting for the week and we decided to get her school photos done. We headed to Kalamoir Park for a bit of a hike and some lovely photos. I love natural beauty, this girl is so beautiful inside and out. We got a little carried away and started to do more creative shots then your typical school photo….. some including me in them. Caitlin & Craig’s wedding at Summerland Waterfront Resort was beautiful! I loved their choices in colors and flower arrangements. Being my first time at this resort, my impressions were awesome! What a wonderful staff to work with and the perfect destination wedding location for a Summerland wedding. The rooms were stunning, perfect views out to the lake. The ceremony was right on the beach with a grass area where the guests sat.

Following the ceremony we headed to the Summerland gardens with the bride and groom and their wedding party. Summerland gardens is such a pretty spot for summer weddings, everything is so green and in full bloom.

We headed back to the Resort for the reception, held in their beautiful ballroom and finished off the night with entertainment and dancing.
