Kassie and Spencer’s Abbotsford Wedding

I had a blast photographing Kassie and Spencer’s Abbotsford wedding. My husband and I drove down from Kelowna that morning to find rainy spring weather. I was so thankful to have my assistant (my husband) follow me around with an umbrella. Even though everyone got a little saggy, the rain made for lush, vibrant greenery that looked beautiful. Umbrella’s came in handy later, incorporating them with the rain as props.

Spencer had bought a vintage camper van for the two of them when they were dating and which he later proposed in. It was only fitting that we included it in some of their photos. Things got interesting when the van happen to get stuck in an extremely wet field at our first shooting location. Take a look at their cute wedding story below.

Family Session on Knox Mountain

I got to work with Ruthy, owner of Nooks Footwear and her beautiful family again up on Knox Mountain. I had previously met her photographing some of her product but this time I was excited to get to capture family photos for her. You can see some of her product from my previous shoot here. This lady has incredible talent and a wonderful family.

Lucas & Naomi’s Engagement at Volkmanm Tree Farm

I always wanted to photograph a winter engagement at a tree farm. When Naomi & Lucas asked me about Volkmanm Tree Farm, I was very excited. What an incredible location and a perfect day for a photo session. My favorite was the driveway coming in to the tree farm, covered in red bows. After photographing at the farm, we made a quick drive up to Dillworth mountain, the place Lucas proposed. I love this idea of photographing at the proposal place.

Amy & Eric’s Northern Engagement

I managed to sneak this session in while I was up north in

my hometown, Vanderhoof, BC for Christmas holidays. Amy & Eric were a real joy to photograph. The first few photos are taken in Eric’s back yard in front of his rustic wood shed, later we headed to the second location on Eric’s parents homestead. Eric is a referee for the local hockey teams so it was very suiting that they brought matching referee outfits to where. 🙂

Tannyth & John’s Engagement at Sanctuary Gardens

I recently got to spend some time with this amazing couple, Tannyth & John, photographing their engagement at Sanctuary Gardens. I have known them for over a year now and was very excited when they asked me to photograph their engagement & wedding next spring. It was such a wonderful, sunny, winter day, even got to see a few dear walk by us in the fields. I had so much fun with this incredible couple, they have such character in their photographs it was hard to narrow down which ones to choose for the blog. They brought mugs, candy canes and a thermos of hot chocolate to set up a beautiful picnic in the fields.  I love the personalized mugs they brought with the funny faces. And the location…. Sanctuary Gardens provided such a GORGEOUS backdrop.
