Nick & Emily were such a joy to photograph. When we met, they said something about being camera shy…I think I proved them wrong! 😛 I joined them for their getting ready photos and ceremony/reception at their family home. I loved all the family details. Emily took out her grandmother’s wedding dress to be photographed besides her’s. I immediately felt so welcomed into this warm, loving family.

The ceremony started off with a rock-paper-scissors of who says their vows first. Following the outdoor backyard ceremony, we were met with rain! Down poor rain! It seemed to pass within 30 min and we headed out for to Kal Lake Provincial Park for bridal photos. These two came fully prepared with their hiking boots while still in bridal attire. We adventured to this beautiful field area and photographed until we could see the rain on it’s way back.

What a beautiful celebration it was! Congrats Nick & Emily!
